Terms and Conditions of Participation
1. Registration
By registering, the following terms and conditions of participation are accepted. Registration for the event is binding and must be completed in writing via the registration function on the website, including all required information. The contract becomes effective upon completion of payment. After receiving the registration, the organizer will confirm the registration in due course and provide further information about the event. If a registration cannot be accepted, the organizer will notify the registrant accordingly.
Students who have purchased an Educational Ticket are required to verify their student status by presenting a valid certificate of enrollment or student ID during the event days.
Registrations after the official registration deadline are possible if places are still available. Please send your inquiry to info@klippel.de.
2. Personalization and Transferability of Registration or Ticket
The registration is generally personalized for the individual who submitted the registration or who is identified as the participant. The participant has the option to transfer the ticket under the following conditions:
The transfer of a ticket for non-commercial reasons, particularly in cases of illness or other personal impediments of the participant, is permitted. In such cases, the participant may transfer all rights and obligations of the contract to a third party only if the third party enters into the contract in their place, assuming all related rights and obligations.
The originally registered person must notify Klippel GmbH as soon as possible, but no later than three (3) days before the start of the event by sending the following details via email to info@klippel.de:
- First and last name of the new ticket holder and
- Email address of the new ticket holder.
3. Payment Terms
Participation in the event is subject to a fee. The participation fee is due upon registration. Payment must be made by credit card. The invoice will be sent via email to the provided billing address. Participation is only guaranteed after full payment of the participation fee.
Additional note:
Participation in this event is free of charge for students and staff of Dresden University of Technology. Participation is confirmed upon receipt of a confirmation email from the organizer.
4. Cancellation
In the event of a written cancellation by the participant, the following conditions apply:
The organizer grants a 14-day right of withdrawal after the conclusion of the contract. Within this period, the registered person may cancel their registration. In the case of a valid cancellation, the participation fee will be refunded.
No further cancellation options are available. However, the ticket may be transferred to another person. Klippel GmbH must be informed in due time (see section 2. Personalization and Transferability).
5. Event Cancellation
The organizer reserves the right to cancel the event, particularly in cases of insufficient registrations. Claims for damages are excluded. This also applies in the event of short-term cancellations or event failures, even if prior notification to participants is no longer possible. The right to terminate the contract for good cause remains unaffected.
6. Change of Speakers
If the overall nature of the event is not significantly affected, changes of speakers or adjustments to the program schedule do not entitle participants to withdraw from the contract. The right to termination for good cause remains unaffected.
7. Exclusion from Participation
The organizer reserves the right to exclude participants from further participation in special cases (e.g., disruptions to the event or operational processes).
8. Liability
The organizer assumes no liability for damages incurred by the participant, regardless of the legal basis — including delay, impossibility, defective performance, or tort — unless the damage was caused by gross negligence or intent on the part of the organizer.
9. Data Protection and Data Storage
As part of the event registration process, the following personal data are collected:
- First and last name
- Email address
- Name of company or university
- Billing address
The participant agrees that their personal data may be stored by Klippel GmbH and shared with the lecturers and speakers of the event. This occurs in compliance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The data will be used for event organization, examination administration, and business communication purposes.
