The annual lecture on “Sound Quality of Audio Systems” provides a comprehensive insight into modern measurement and diagnostic techniques used in automotive, telecommunication, multimedia, and professional audio applications. The focus lies on designing compact, efficient, and cost-effective loudspeakers without compromising sound quality.

Category:

The three-day event will take place from 16–18 March 2026 at the Technical University of Dresden, Germany, and will be presented by Dr. Wolfgang Klippel, Professor at the Institute of Acoustics and Speech Communication. Combining theoretical foundations with practical demonstrations, the lecture has become an important platform for professionals, researchers and students in electroacoustics.

The lecture covers linear, nonlinear, and time-variant system behavior and explains how these models describe the origin of distortion in loudspeakers. To complement the theoretical content, KLIPPEL’s development engineers present practical demonstrations integrated into the lecture. Further information on the topics and schedule of the 3-Day Lecture can be found under KLIPPEL News.

These demos illustrate real measurement workflows and showing how specific diagnostic methods are applied to investigate and solve distortion-related issues in audio systems.

Catering (snacks, lunch and drinks) will be provided.
