3-Day Lecture 2027

The annual lecture Sound Quality of Audio Systems gives a comprehensive overview of modern measurement and combines theory and practice.

Participants learn advanced measurement and diagnostic techniques applied in telecommunication, the automotive sector and multimedia, as well as professional approaches to designing small, lightweight and cost-effective loudspeakers.

The lecture is presented by Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Klippel, professor at the Institute of Acoustics and Speech Communication. It covers linear, nonlinear and time-variant system behavior and explains how these models describe the origin of distortion in loudspeakers. KLIPPEL development engineers add demonstrations of real measurement workflows. They show how specific diagnostic methods are applied to investigate and solve distortion related issues in audio systems.

The three days in brief

Day 1 starts with linear models, distributed mechanical modeling, sound radiation and room interaction
Day 2 is dedicated to nonlinear modeling, the measurement of nonlinear parameters and diagnostics
Day 3 covers irregular distortion, time-variant properties, adaptive control and perception

Included in your ticket
